Miguel Carmona Places Third at 2025 DTNA Top Tech Finals!

A huge congratulations to our very own Miguel Carmona for placing 3rd in the 2025 Daimler Truck North America Top Tech Finals!  

Go behind the scenes in our interview with Miguel as he recounts the intense pressure of the competition and the pride of reaching the podium.

Miguel began his career with us just over four years ago as a Lot Porter, moving trucks and keeping the shop organized. He then transitioned into a Lube Technician role, where he began learning the intricacies of heavy-duty trucks firsthand. Throwing himself into the work and training, Miguel completed every certification we offer — from Heavy-Duty Truck Systems and Electrical Troubleshooting to Detroit Diesel Engines, HVAC, Model-Specific Courses, and even Battery Electric Vehicles. In just over two and a half years, Miguel became a DTNA Expert Technician, mastering the craft through dedication and drive.

Miguel’s journey through this competition was no small feat. He placed first out of 220 California Truck Centers technicians in our in-house written and hands-on challenges, then advanced to the national semi-finals, where he competed virtually against 29 of the best technicians in the U.S. From there, he earned his spot among the Top 10 finalists who faced off in Detroit — and came home ranked 3rd in North America.
