California Truck Centers is an Authorized Franchise Dealership Group in Central and Northern California representing  Freightliner®, Western Star, RIZON, and  Isuzu Trucks. Since 1930, we have been serving the trucking industry for new and used truck sales, OEM truck parts, truck service, motorhome repair, body shop paint and repairs, financing, and now rentals and leasing. For truck leasing and rentals, we have our California Truck Leasing and Rentals division to help your business, while our in-house financing company, Lee Financial Services, provides financing for semi-trucks to qualified customers.

Who We Are

California Truck Centers has been owned and operated by the Howard family in Fresno since 1930. Brothers P.L., Earl, and Roscoe Howard began the business at 701 L Street as Fresno Trailer Company. At that time they manufactured and sold heavy-duty truck trailers to serve the local agricultural community. Over time the family began selling heavy-duty trucks as Fresno White & Autocar, which later became Fresno Truck Center.

Earl and Roscoe Howard both passed away at young ages and P.L. went on with the business. P.L. had one son Gary. He became active in the business in 1957. Gary became President of the organization and ran it for over 35 years until he passed away in 2010. Gary had two children Doug and Brenda who have both been active in the business since the early 1980s. Doug is currently the President of the organization. Additionally, Doug’s children, Lee and Tiffany are the fourth generation of Howards to be active in the management of the company.

Over the years, the dealerships of California Truck Centers have won numerous sales and excellence awards including ATD, Business Week National Dealer of the Year.

California Truck Centers has expanded to eight locations throughout California from Bakersfield to Sacramento becoming one of the larger Freightliner dealer groups in the Country, now employing over 600 people. Our strong commitment to honesty and customer service has made our business thrive and we will continue to be here for our customers for years to come.
