Who We Are

California Truck Centers has been owned and operated by the Howard family in Fresno since 1930. Brothers P.L., Earl, and Roscoe Howard began the business at 701 L Street as Fresno Trailer Company. At that time they manufactured and sold heavy-duty truck trailers to serve the local agricultural community. Over time the family began selling heavy-duty trucks as Fresno White & Autocar, which later became Fresno Truck Center.

Over the years, the dealerships of California Truck Centers have won numerous sales and excellence awards including ATD, Business Week National Dealer of the Year. California Truck Centers has expanded to eight locations throughout California from Bakersfield to Sacramento becoming one of the larger Freightliner dealer groups in the Country, now employing over 800 people. Our strong commitment to honesty and customer service has made our business thrive and we will continue to be here for our customers for years to come.
